Today, we want to share a secret with you.
Choosing the perfect color for your home's walls can be overwhelming, but it doesn't have to be. The way we perceive colors depends on a thousand factors —the most important being lighting and the color of the floor, with the latter having a much more significant impact than you might think.
A trick that always works is to choose a color you love but a shade brighter than you imagine, and then tone it down. This way, you ensure that the starting point is beautiful, and therefore, its whitened version as well.
Before you make your final decision, don't forget to create real-life samples. Ask the builders to prepare rectangles of the same color on one of the walls, but with different amounts of white added. This way, you can compare and choose the one that complements the actual lighting and colors in your home best. For example:
100% color + 0% white
50% color + 50% white
70% color + 30% white
etc.
